Chris HughesCFP®

Partner & Wealth Advisor

Chris guides individuals, businesses, and families through important financial decisions and transitions as a fiduciary with objective advice. Navigating through these significant decisions requires encouragement and expertise from a trusted advisor, a role he takes very seriously.

Chris’ areas of expertise include evidence-based investment management, income tax planning, stock option exercise planning, sustainable investing, and retirement planning. He is a frequent speaker and presenter to the public and financial industry groups, including The California Society of CPAs.

He cares immensely about people and the achievement of their goals. He is focused on the client’s overall experience and can always be counted on to go out of his way in service of a client. Clients love that Chris can make even the most complicated financial concepts seem simple, and report that they feel comforted by his caring and understanding nature.

Chris holds an M.S. in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, as well as a B.S. in Business Economics (minor in Sports Management) from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

Chris resides in San Ramon with his wife, Jennie, daughters, Mackenzie and Malia, and their dog, Ruby. When he is not giving clients extreme peace of mind (which, we’ll be honest, is how he spends most of his time), Chris can be found playing soccer, camping, or doing pretty much anything outdoors. Chris remains active in the community as a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, and sits on the board of both the East Bay Estate Planning Council, and his neighborhood HOA.
